All Things Green or Greener

We have been searching for the ultimate 'green' initiative that we could undertake here at The Old Post Office. We have now found it.

On 15 June 2019, we commissioned an air source heat pump. Sitting quietly in a hidden corner of the garden, we are now thrilled to announce that we no longer burn oil to generate hot water and central heating. It's a huge step forward. Lashings of piping hot water are now generated by the air!  It's an impressive piece of kit too. 

And, in other developments, both of our rooms now sport smart tvs so you can access all the programmes your heart desires. We have an Amazon Prime account but you will have to bring your own Netflix account details if that's your thing. 

On greener things altogether, our bathroom products are all 100% organic, our sausages come from 4 miles away (a rare breed farm making proper sausages by hand) and, to top it all, we are now offering recycled loo paper and tissues by the wonderfully named Australian company, Who Gives a Crap. Emergency rolls provided..........................Loo rolls arrive in cardboard boxes of 48 and each individual roll is beautifully wrapped in colourful paper.

We are trying our best too with environmentally friendly washing and dishwasher tablets, Smol.
